Read My Plan:
Ward 1 residents deserve clear answers, not vague promises. I am the only candidate with a forward-looking plan to improve safety and affordability for Oak Ridges families.
Why I am Running
I am running for Ward 1 Councillor because Richmond Hill families deserve a councillor with a forward-looking plan to improve our city, not just vague promises. Residents also deserve a Councillor that is transparent about where she stands, including on controversial issues being debated in our community.
My priorities are clear. I will fight for safer neighbourhoods by hiring more frontline York Regional Police officers, expanding community watch programs, and keeping drugs out of Oak Ridges.
I will work to improve the everyday services residents rely on, including better cell service, safer streets, improved lighting, complete sidewalks, stronger infrastructure, and action on traffic congestion.
At City Hall, I will stand for responsible spending and respect for taxpayers by opposing property tax increases, challenging wasteful spending, and demanding measurable value for every tax dollar.
I will also protect Lake Wilcox, local green spaces, and the character of Oak Ridges, while promoting clean, well-maintained neighbourhoods and a stronger sense of civic pride.
I am running to bring clear priorities, honest leadership, and practical results to Ward 1.

Meet Catherine
Oak Ridges has been my home for more than 25 years. It is where my husband, Andre, and I raised our four children, built our life together, and became deeply connected to the community. After 27 years of marriage, our family now includes two sons-in-law and our first grandchild.
As a proud Italian-Canadian, I was raised with a strong appreciation for family, hard work, community, and service to others.
I bring experience from the corporate, education, and non-profit sectors, supported by a university degree and postgraduate qualifications. I spent ten years working in international corporate environments in South Africa and Canada, building experience in project coordination, teamwork, problem-solving, and delivering results.
Today, I work in non-profit project coordination and lead a local education network supporting more than 150 families. My work involves bringing people together, managing complex projects, and turning ideas into practical results.
As a mother and now a grandmother, I think carefully about the decisions we make today and the community we are leaving to the next generation.
I am running for Richmond Hill City Council to give back to the community that has given my family so much. I want to bring a practical, responsible, and community-focused approach to City Hall while helping keep Richmond Hill safe, affordable, and a great place to raise a family.
