Progress at Dr. Bette Stephenson Secondary School
The expansion of Dr. Bette Stephenson Secondary School is an important development for students and families in Oak Ridges.
I recently visited the construction site and appreciated the opportunity to discuss the project with local school board trustee Robert Kolosowski. As the school expands, we must also plan carefully for increased traffic, safe drop-off and pickup areas, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks and connections to nearby community facilities.
Educational growth must be supported by the infrastructure needed to keep students, families and surrounding residents safe. I will continue listening to local families and following the project’s progress as construction moves forward.
